CyberMiner Camp 

Explosives Camp

  • June 9-14 or June 16-21 @ Missouri University of Science and Technology - Rolla

  • The Summer Explosives Camp - the first and best camp of its kind! - provides a unique opportunity for hands-on learning experience with explosives. Participants will experience a variety of demonstrations, presentations, projects, and handling and shooting explosives. Camp culminates in the setup and shooting of a fireworks display.

Formula SAE Electric Car Camp

  • July 21-25 @ Missouri University of Science and Technology - Rolla

  • This camp is for rising 10th, 11th and 12th grade students

  • This week-long residential camp will give you the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Electric Vehicles and the Formula SAE competition. We aim to help you gain some insight of what being on a collegiate design team is like.

Girls Save the Planet

  • July 14-18 @ Missouri University of Science and Technology - Rolla

  • For rising 8th, 9th and 10th grade girls

  • Campers will dive in and learn about water quality and supply at natural springs, visit area watersheds, and learn how energy is made now and in future. Dry off at the S&T Solar Village and Green Roof, which is divided into three sections covered with different roofing materials that allow S&T researchers to compare the water runoff control, water quality and thermal properties of each material.

Jackling Introduction to Engineering

  • June 9-13, June 23-27, July 7-11@ Missouri University of Science and Technology - Rolla

  • Rising 11th and 12th grade students

  • Engineers are the change agents of our society. Few professions have such a direct and positive impact on people’s lives. Through research and innovative solutions to real-world problems, engineers constantly re-invent the machines, processes, structures and gadgets that improve our daily lives. By applying science in bold new ways, engineers use their imagination to turn ideas into realities to help meet the needs of the 21st century. In the future, engineers will continue to use their cleverness to meet the world’s biggest challenges.

ASM Materials Camp - Apply early limited seating

  • July 21-26 @ Missouri University of Science and Technology - Rolla

  • Rising 11th and 12th grade students

  • You will actively explore materials science and engineering principles through a combination of mini-demonstrations, field trips and group projects. With the help of experts, you will learn how to use state-of-the-art research equipment. You will also explore career opportunities available for those in the materials and engineering fields.

Nuclear Engineering Camp

  • June 2-7 @ Missouri University of Science and Technology - Rolla

  • Rising 11th, 12th graders and graduating seniors

  • If you are interested in nuclear engineering, this one-week summer program will introduce you to the fascinating world of nuclear power and the outstanding opportunities in nuclear engineering.

Robotics Camp - Apply early limited seating

  • June 4-6 @ Missouri University of Science and Technology - Rolla

  • Ages 12-15 by first day of camp

  • Come to campus ready to learn the basic principles of robotics at this hands-on camp, which includes electronics, sensors, motor and servo control, programming and control techniques as well as robotics applications in today’s society. Using the LEGO® Mindstorms™ Robotics Invention System, teams of participants will have the opportunity to invent, design, build, and program robots while learning the basic structure of computer programming. By integrating motors and sensors with the NXT microcomputer, students will program their robots to respond to their environment, react to light, avoid obstacles and accomplish amazing things.

Solar Architecture and Green Engineering

  • June 16-20 @ Missouri University of Science and Technology - Rolla

  • For rising 10th and 11th grade students

  • Want to save the planet? Love to design? 

  • At this camp, you'll get a behind the scenes look at designing solar homes, tour S&T's Solar and Eco villages and explore the university's geothermal systems. Activities include design projects, presentations and a community solar charette!

Space - The Final Frontier
